FUN, VITALITY and PASSION! And Lou Bega has transferred exactly this fun, vitality and passion onto his new album which will be released in spring 2010. “I haven’t released new songs for some years but have still been on tour worldwide, and I became a father. Since the birth of my little daughter Jada I’m so creative. So I always did a studio session with the guys of Syndicate Music spontaneously when I felt like it. They have already produced my first album incl. Mambo No.5 but we didn’t work together the last years. Not working together for a longer time after this huge success has done us all good. You will hear from the new songs how much fun we had in studio” says Lou Bega. And the results are pretty impressively: “Boyfriend” is a typical Lou Bega song but nevertheless different. The song has a lot of power and you can’t remain seated but have to move to the sound. “Sweet like Cola” and “Mommy is Hot” are also new songs with high hit potential. Everybody who listen to the new Lou Bega songs feels: “The Mambo King is back” – but actually he has never been away. And so Lou Bega has achieved what many want to but can’t achieve: “Reinventing himself”! How everything started: In 1999 the Mambo fever which broke out in Germany arrives in more than 20 countries world-wide: “Mambo No.5” #1 of the charts, hit of the year, newcomer of the year and all radio stations play the song again and again. Within short time Lou Bega infects the whole globe with “Mambo No.5”. With his debut album “A little bit of Mambo” Lou Bega enters the top positions of the charts world-wide. In USA the successful album reaches #3 of the Billboard album charts. “A little bit of Mambo” is sold more than 7 million times world-wide. Only in USA he sold more than 3.5 million exemplars. His second single “I got a girl” reaches the Top 20 of the charts in 5 countries. Lou Bega has been able to form his own music style like no other by melting music elements of the 40s and 50s with modern grooves and sounds to a new unit.
